AquaStar Fusion

Artistic Swimming is making waves with Upper Primary students!
The Aquatics Department has created a brand-new offering called AquaStar Fusion to provide UP students with an opportunity to explore the blending of artistic swimming skills along with enhanced learning of swimming and water safety.
In this awesome class, students will not only level up their swimming skills but also practice fun Artistic Swimming moves—such as splashy entrances, graceful artistic figures, travel moves, and basic choreography. Each lesson is a chance to build strength, balance, and control in the water while having a blast!
Confident swimmers, boys and girls, who have completed HKIS Learn to Swim Levels 4, 5, or 6 are invited to join the group, scheduled on Fridays from 4 to 5 PM.
About AquaStar Fusion:
Is this an Artistic Swimming-only ASA activity?
This activity combines Learn to Swim and Artistic Swimming. The course will include teaching and refining of swimming strokes – Freestyle, Butterfly, Backstroke and Breaststroke, dives, and flip turns – combined with Artistic Swimming elements such as entries, figures, routines, and basic choreography.
What are the benefits of the AquaStar Fusion activity for my child?
Participating in two water sports – Swimming and Artistic Swimming – makes for a more well-rounded athlete by improving coordination, stamina, body control, breath control, and whole-body strength. By exploring various water sports such as Swimming, Artistic Swimming or Water Polo, children improve their confidence in the water, joy for water sports, and overall athleticism.
Is this activity open to both boys and girls?
Yes, boys and girls are welcome to join.
Can beginner swimmers join AquaStar Fusion?
To enjoy AquaStar Fusion, swimmers should have intermediate to advanced swimming skills. The activity is open to Upper Primary students who have completed Learn To Swim Levels 4, 5, or 6.
Will there be an Artistic Swimming performance at the end of the course?
Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their chosen swimming and artistic swimming skills during the final lesson, but there will be no expectation to prepare a performance.
