Enrolment

  • When and where will the Summer Discovery Program 2024 be held?

The Summer Discovery Program 2024 will be at the Repulse Bay Campus on the following dates:

Session 1: June 18, 2024 - July 5, 2024 (13 Days)

Session 2: July 8, 2024 - July 26, 2024 (15 Days)

  • Where can you register for the Summer Discovery Program 2024?

Please view our course selection to explore the different courses being offered during our program, and to begin your registration.

  • Can non-HKIS students sign up for the Summer Discovery Program?

Yes non-HKIS students can register for the program in Session 2 only (July 8, 2024 - July 26, 2024).

  • What does ‘entering grade level’ mean?

Entering grade level refers to your child's grade level in the new academic year (ie: 2024-2025)

  • Can students enroll in both sessions for the Summer Discovery Program?

Yes students can register for the full-day programs as there will be a supervised lunch break between the AM and PM sessions.

  • Can I pay for the Summer Discovery Program using credits in my Schoolsbuddy wallet?

Payments for the Summer Discovery Program must be settled by credit card (Visa, Mastercard), and CANNOT be settled using credits from your Schoolsbuddy wallet. Some courses during the ECA Summer Program (ie: Soccer & Basketball) can be paid for using Schoolsbuddy.

Bus Service

  • Is there a bus service available for the Summer Discovery Program?

Yes, the bus service for the Summer Discovery Program in Repulse Bay is mandatory. You will be required to register for our bus service - managed by Kwoon Chung Motors - via our registration system, unless you are a HKIS-registered walker during the school year. Any bus-related queries should be directed to hkis@kcm.com.hk

Lunch options

  • Will lunch be provided to students during the Summer Discovery Program?

Lunch will be provided by our caterer Sodexo in our cafeteria for students enrolled in both AM and PM classes on the same day. The lunch service will normally offer two meal options per day, one meat and one vegetarian option. Students will have the option of ordering lunch or bringing their own packed lunch to school. Please be aware that HKIS IS NUT FREE CAMPUS DURING THE SUMMER PROGRAM. Information regarding how to order lunch will be updated closer to the program commencement.

Pick up/ Drop off

  • Where should I arrive to drop off my child?

The designated area for ALL drop-offs will be the Lower Primary Bus Lay-by. You can click here to view a video that will show you how to access this area.

Please note that if there is a buildup of traffic in this area, you may be asked to circle around to minimize the congestion.

  • What time and where should | arrive to pick up my child?

Students registered as walkers should be collected at the Lower Primary Security Booth at the following times:

  • 12:00 pm - AM Session
  • 3:45 pm - PM Session

Only those registered on our dismissal list as a HKIS walker will be allowed to depart through this exit.

In the event that you have to pick up your child by private car due to special circumstances, you will need to notify the Summer Programs Office 24 hours in advance. Pick-up location by private car will be at the Lower Primary Security Booth.

Please note that private car pick up will be at 11:30am for the morning session and 3:15pm for the afternoon session. Please ensure you don't arrive any later than these times.

  • Can my child wait on Campus between the AM & PM Sessions?

Yes, students will be able to wait on campus and have lunch in our supervised cafeteria. Please click here to find out more about our lunch service.

  • Are parents allowed to be on Campus and wait for their child?

Parents are allowed access to campus, provided they adhere to visitor procedures in place. Parents are not encouraged to wait on campus and are only to visit classes when invited to ensure they do not interfere with class dynamics.
