Arrival

  1. All private cars and school buses will unload students at the Lower Primary lay-by (see image).
  2. Walkers will enter campus using the Lower Primary main stairs entrance (see image).
  3. Students will be safely directed to the congregating point(s) (e.g. school gymnasium) before going to their class / to be picked up by their teacher.
  4. Doors open at 8:30 AM (morning block) / 12:35 PM (afternoon block). Students should arrive no more than 10 minutes before class begins.
*Student ID Tag: All students aged 9 or below must wear a student ID tag at all times, including riding the bus and during class. Please download, print and complete the ID tag HERE.
Reminders for Private Car Drop-off:
  • Avoid making a U-turn in the middle of the road leading up to the entrance of the lay-by
  • Avoid dropping off your child(ren) outside of the lay-by area
  • Avoid parking your car on the road outside of campus. Please read our no-visit policy HERE.

How It Works

  1. All school buses will depart from the Lower Primary carpark. Students will be escorted safely to the carpark by teachers / teaching assistants.
  2. All walkers will depart from the Lower Primary rainbow stairs exit, by the security booth (see image). The LP main stairs will not be used during dismissal.
  3. In case of an emergency, if you need to pick-up a bus-rider, please inform the Summer Program Office at your earliest convenience. You are required to pick-up your child 30 minutes before the scheduled dismissal time.
  4. For all other changes to dismissal arrangements, please contact the Summer Program Office via email at least one working day in advance.

School Bus Service

Bus Service Registration HERE.
Bussing is mandatory for dismissal in both morning and afternoon blocks, unless the student is a registered walker. Please ensure your child is registered for the School Bus Service by deadline.
Please note:
  • Bus to bus changes are not accepted during SDP.
  • One off request to ride the bus is not accepted during SDP.
  • Bus to pick-up request is accepted subject to communication one working day in advance.

Walker Registration

You can register as a walker HERE.
Please register as a walker if:
  1. You are a Primary student that lives within the predetermined walking radius and you wish to dismiss on foot
  2. You are a Middle / High School student and you wish to dismiss on foot
Please note that: only students registered as a walker will be permitted to leave campus on foot.
  • Lower Primary students are required to be picked up by an adult.
  • Upper Primary students are required to be picked up by an adult, unless they are a registered HKIS walker with permission to dismiss independently.
  • Middle / High School students do not require pick up by an adult, they can dismiss independently.

NIT Residence (Faulty & Staff Children)

Students can be picked up from the Lower Primary 1/F lift lobby.
