Program Overview

Ink Painting Art Journey

This course is specially designed for young creative explorers who are eager to discover and experience the charm of traditional oriental aesthetics, immersing themselves in the unique beauty of ink wash art. Drawing inspiration from nature and the world around us, students will embark on a series of engaging creative journeys, including freehand ink painting, imaginative ink design, traditional pattern drawing, ink rubbing, and handmade ink creations on rice paper.

Students will systematically learn foundational ink wash techniques and develop confidence using traditional tools such as brushes, rice paper, ink, and Chinese painting pigments, while exploring the changing beauty of ink tones. Through their creations, they will deepen their appreciation of Chinese culture, enhance their artistic awareness, and strengthen their hands-on skills. For simpler pieces, students will complete and bring home one artwork after each class. More complex pieces may take up to two classes to complete. Throughout the course, students will enjoy the creative process and discover their own unique artistic expression.

本课程专为热爱探索、渴望感受东方传统美学的小小创意家打造，带你沉浸式体验水墨艺术的独特魅力！我们将以身边万物、自然景致为灵感，开启一系列趣味十足的水墨创作之旅，涵盖水墨写意画、创意水墨设计、传统纹样绘制、简易水墨拓印、宣纸手工水墨创作等丰富内容。孩子们将系统学习水墨艺术的专业技法，熟练运用毛笔、宣纸、墨汁、国画颜料等传统水墨工具，感受墨色浓淡干湿的变幻之美。在创作中体悟中华传统文化底蕴，提升艺术审美与动手能力，尽情享受笔墨挥洒的创作乐趣，找到属于自己的艺术表达。

Fee: $6,800 (17 classes) / $400 per class

Other Fees

An additional $100 will be charged for ink painting materials, which include Chinese ink painting pigments, brushes, ink, paper, mats, water buckets, brush holders, and brush cases. Materials will be kept at school for use during the course, and students will take them home after the final class.
