Course Description
Gratitude learning cultivates appreciation, positivity, resilience, and more. This course aims to share the joy of gratitude and kindness with students. Students are going to experience appreciation and practice identifying and focusing on the positive aspects of their lives through the lens of Christianity. We are going to share stories, draw, craft, journal, sing and dance in Gratitude Camp.
Learner Outcomes:
Students will:
- Understand the importance of gratitude and kindness
- Get to know gratitude traits with Christian value
- Develop language of gratitude and appreciation
- Identify ways that act with kindness and caring towards the community.
Methodology:
Students will engage in Christian and non-Christian stories to understand the ideas of gratitude, loose parts explorations, play-based activities, and songs and dance in the Gratitude Camp. Then, they will share ideas and daily experiences about gratitude and kindness in group conversations. They will also express themselves through artworks, reflections and gratitude journals.
