HK Elite Fencing

Hong Kong Elite Fencing is a fencing school in Hong Kong with Olympic coaches and ex-national team fencers. We aim to train students from beginners, all the way to the highest level. We combine expert technique training together with physical movement to create the best fencers and cultivate as many competitions as possible in order for students to gain experience.
Fencing has recently seen a major uptake in popularity following the Olympics, and that is for a good reason. We believe that anybody, no matter the shape or size can excel in fencing and enjoy the sport for many years in the future: whether it be in college, professionally, or as a long-term hobby.
The HKIS ASA Fencing program serves as a fantastic starting point for students to experience fencing all year round. We have coaches for every blade, age, and experience level.

Equipment

Beginners will be able to purchase the basic kit starter set for a discounted price for HKIS students.

Basic

Fencing Mask, Fencing Blade, Glove, Plastic Protector (Women’s and Below 12 Boys), Under Plastron, Fencing Jacket, Knickers

Sabre and Foil

Basic equipment + Wires, High socks, Electric Jacket, Fencing Shoes, Head Wire

Programs and Registration

Thursday - Beginners Class G3 - G5 (3:00pm - 4:00pm)

This Beginner class covers the basics of fencing. For students haven't previously taken fencing lessons, or for those who fenced a long time ago and would like to return to the sport. The participants of the beginners' classes are introduced to fencing rules, traditions, techniques and tactics. While learning the blade work, fencers exercise in pairs or with the coach. Acquired skills are practiced further during the fencing bouts. This course is suitable for Grade 3 to 5, girls or boys, right or left handed!

Thursday - Intermediate and Advanced Class G5 - G8 (4:00pm - 5:30pm)

The intermediate and advanced class is an ongoing program designed to further the knowledge and training of the student. The intermediate level focuses on the training of physical and mental techniques. This class will focus on techniques, tactics and fencing competition rules. Acquired skills are practiced further during the fencing bouts. It is suitable for students in Grade 5 or above.
