Training Squads
Training Squads - is the entry level program designed to develop the fundamentals of the game in a fun and safe environment. Appropriate level skills are developed through modified games, fun drills and match play.
The mid-week classes are open to all players starting out in the sport and just want to give it a try or those that have tried it in the past and want to get back into it. Registration will be done on a first-come first-served basis through the parent's Schoolsbuddy account.
The Saturday Recreational match play tournaments will also be open to players in Grades 3 and up that just want to play the game for fun and without the pressures of performance and/or winning.
To determine if an activity is inclusive i.e. non-competitive and all students are welcome or selective i.e. competitive and students will need to try out, you can refer to the below icons featured next to each activity throughout this brochure. The Hawks Tier 3 Academy Squad is inclusive and registration is done on a first-come, first served basis using the Schoolsbuddy system when registration opens each term.

- G3-4s Coed Saturdays 9-10:30am MS Gym
- G5-8s Coed Saturdays 10:30am-12pm MS Gym
How To Register Via Schoolsbuddy
Term 1 registration for the the mid-week 3pm classes is via the Schoolsbuddy Preference Based system. Starting on Aug 1 at 12 noon and for 5 days you can go into your account to select and change your preferences for basketball. Selecting P1 will give your child the best chance on securing a spot in your chosen basketball class. Please contact us if you have not activated your account one week prior to this date.
The weekend classes first-come first-served registration in Schoolsbuddy will start later (date TBA) after the preference based system for mid-week classes closes and spots are allocated.
