Funky Jazz (Spring Sprint 2026)

Funky Jazz Dance class for Upper Primary + Middle School students (Saturday)

Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Location: Dance Studio, DCAA

This is a very popular and dynamic dance style performed to a wide variety of Pop music, including R + B. Funky Jazz Dance works on musicality, flexibility and strength and learning dance choreographies. It is often associated with dance musicals such as “Fame” and “Chicago”. Students will start by learning a dance warm up, followed by gentle stretching, ‘corner’ work and then the choreography.

The class will be taught by a Professional Dance Teacher from the Glenda Allen Dance Academy, now in its 20+ years at HKIS.

Course dates for 8 weeks:

April: 18th + 25th
May: 2nd + 9th + 16th + 23rd + 30th
June: 6th

Course fee: $2,080/- per student
