Band

Genesis Band

The Genesis Band is a comprehensive tuition program in which students learn or extend fundamental Band instrument skills through instruction in twice weekly 45 minute classes. One class is focused on Instrument Technical and Skill development, and the second is ensemble based learning where students participate as a musical team to rehearse and perform music, alongside building music literacy skills and personal management habits.

Program Overview

Students in the Genesis Band program are usually beginners to a Band instrument or graduates of the Band Basics program. Students who have started focused instrumental music lessons on a chosen band instrument for a short period of time would also suit the Genesis Band. For further details click here

Rising Band

Rising Band meets twice weekly for full Concert Band rehearsals that foster artistic exploration and development of Band Instrument and ensemble performance skills.

Program Overview

Rising Band students demonstrate intermediate or advanced proficiency on a Band instrument, often having graduated from the Genesis Band program or receiving private tutoring. These musicians enhance their performance and ensemble abilities while honing goal-setting and self-reflective skills to understand their musical growth and the significance of music in their lives.
