Course Description:

Welcome explorers! Are you ready to enter the world of science and art adventure? This unique program combines hands-on science experiments with engaging art projects, fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. Each session will be filled with interactive storytelling, discussion around weekly topics, creative activities inspired by nature and famous inventors or artists. Our goal is to provide a fun and educational experience that not only captivates children but also helps parents understand the valuable skills and knowledge your children will gain!

Learner Outcomes:

  • Understand scientific concepts in a supportive and creative environment
  • Develop skills to observe nature and express findings through art
  • Inspire a love for learning by exploring their interests in both science and art

Methodology:

Throughout the 15-day program, children will engage in a variety of activities that integrate science and art. Here is a glimpse of what they will learn:

  1. Scientific concepts
    • Nature's wonder: Understanding habitats, food chains, and the importance of biodiversity.
    • The science of color: Exploring color mixing and investigate how animals use colors for camouflage.
    • Creative inventions: Explore simple machines like pulleys and wheels and famous inventors and their impacts.
  2. Artistic skills
    • Creative expression: Using various mediums (paint, clay, recycled materials) to create artwork.
    • Observation and interpretation: Developing skills to observe nature and express findings through art.
    • Collaboration: Working with peers on group projects, enhancing teamwork and communication skills.
  3. Critical thinking and problem solving
    • Hands-on experiments: Conducting experiments that require hypothesis formation, observation, and analysis.
    • Art projects with a purpose: Creating art that reflects scientific concepts, encouraging students to think critically about their work.
