Course Description
🌍 Calling all young culinary explorers! Join us on an exciting journey through the vibrant world of cooking, where lower primary students will discover the joys of preparing delicious dishes from diverse cuisines!
This hands-on course introduces essential cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and a variety of colorful ingredients, all while teaching about signature dishes from around the globe. Through fun activities and scrumptious recipes, students will develop key life skills, unleash their creativity, and cultivate a passion for cooking. And don't worry about the mess—it’s all part of the fun! At the end of each session, they’ll take home something delicious to share with friends and family, because the best part of cooking is bringing people together around a joyful meal! 🧑‍🍳
Learner Outcomes:
Students will:
- Learn about ingredients, cooking techniques and measuring tools.
- Learn various cooking-specific vocabulary and understand how to properly read and follow recipes.
- Learn to cook some of their favorite foods.
- Develop their food creativity, culinary skills, independence, and confidence.
Methodology:
Every day, the young chefs will learn tricks and tips on how to make a custom-tailored recipe or two, including how to be safe in the kitchen while preparing, serving, and cleaning up. Chefs will end the week with a collection of all the recipes they have made to continue to create at home!
