Vex Go Robotics Adventure

Prerequisite:

Open to students entering grade(s): 1 - 3

Course Description:

Using the innovative VEX GO construction system, kids will explore the fundamentals of STEM through a variety of hands-on activities. This course is designed to ignite curiosity and foster creativity as participants construct and program robots. Throughout the program, students will engage in fun and interactive challenges that make beginner-level coding and engineering an enjoyable experience.

They will collaborate in teams, honing essential problem-solving skills while addressing real-world scenarios. For instance, they'll explore potential robot applications that greatly aid in putting humans out of harm's way such as firefighting, sewage maintenance, and multi-level warehousing. Together, we will construct robots and cars and program them to move using the VEX GO brain and motors. As they navigate the design process, students will gain a deeper understanding of the engineering principles behind their creations, allowing them to appreciate the vast possibilities within the field of engineering.

Not only will this course provide a foundation in robotics, but it will also empower children to think critically and work cooperatively. The excitement of watching their robots come to life will inspire a newfound passion for engineering, encouraging them to explore further in the STEM fields. Join this fantastic opportunity to give your child a head start in the world of robotics!
