Boy Scouts
Scouts
Scouts troops are offered on and off campus for all HKIS students. The three scout organizations are administered and coordinated by volunteer parents. They include Boy Scouts of America , Cub Scouts a phase of the Boy Scouts of America, and Girl Scouts of the USA.
The Scout programs aim to positively influence character development, citizenship, sportsmanship and respect. The program also provides opportunities for kids to work together with adult volunteers, develop leadership skills, serve the community, and share camaraderie.

Boy Scouts of America
Scouts BSA Hong Kong Troop 1, a membership divisions of the Boy Scouts of America, has been available in Hong Kong since 1967. Our program is for boys and girls who have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old, or who are between the ages of 11 and 18 years old. Candidates are not required to have earned the Arrow of Light Award to be able to join our program.
The program achieves the Scout BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Service, community engagement and leadership development are increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.
