  • Primal Strength offers group sports and conditioning training to HKIS students, parents and faculty to improve body composition, athletic performance and daily lifestyle. We are committed to providing a holistic and scientific approach to training from one of the best equipped training facilities in Hong Kong here at HKIS.
  • We expertly program a staple diet of traditional strength exercises, executed with safe and effective techniques, and complement them with appropriate assistance exercises. This is in stark contrast to the current trend in the fitness industry, where trainers hop from program to program based on the latest fitness craze. Primal Strength represents a return to the basics – to the methods that consistently get results.
  • One of the our cornerstones is our group-training model. We firmly believe that team training is the optimal way to stay motivated and drive towards improvements in performance and body composition. Our classes are limited to 12 to ensure coaching is on point while maintaining the team environment.
  • Students can train twice per week on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, choosing from these combinations:
    • Mon/Wed
    • Wed/Fri
    • Mon/Fri
  • This flexibility allows students to fit training into their busy schedules.

Intro to Strength

Fundamental bodyweight training and functional movement to specifically enhance athletic performance. Learn to train.

Structured barbell strength training to specifically enhance athletic performance.

Structured strength training targeting both upper and lower body muscle groups. Ideal for improving functional strength and balanced development.

Energy System Circuit*

Interval-based circuit training designed to challenge aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. Includes sled pushes, battle ropes, and conditioning drills.

In person or virtual 30 minute class Mobility (Build to Move) uses foam rolling and simple techniques to reduce tension and help you move better. It’s an easy, accessible on‑ramp class suitable for all fitness levels.
