Scouts
Scouts troops are offered on and off campus for all HKIS students. The three scout organizations are administered and coordinated by volunteer parents. They include Boy Scouts of America , Cub Scouts a phase of the Boy Scouts of America, and Girl Scouts of the USA.
The Scout programs aim to positively influence character development, citizenship, sportsmanship and respect. The program also provides opportunities for kids to work together with adult volunteers, develop leadership skills, serve the community, and share camaraderie.

USA Girl Scouts of Hong Kong Mission:
To provide girls with a diverse and multi-cultural experience grounded in the USA Girl Scouts' values. In Girl Scouting, girls discover fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Girl Scouts help girls develop values that guide their actions and provides a foundation for sound decision making. Through a host of enriching experiences such as field trips, community service, and environmental stewardship, girls learn to relate to others with increased understanding and respect, while contributing to the improvement of society!
Girl Scouts Daisies - Grades R2-1
The First Step in a Lifetime Adventure
The first step in a lifetime adventure, Girl Scout Daisies are in grades R2 (Kindergarten)-1 and meet in a nurturing, inclusive environment. They go on trips, learn about nature and science, and explore the arts and their communities. Girl Scout Daisies can also earn Learning Petals and receive participation patches.
Girl Scouts Brownies, Grades 2-3
Going Places, Making New Friends
Girl Scouts Brownies work together, earn Girl Scout Brownie Awards, and explore their community. Friendship, fun, and age-appropriate activities begin at the Girl Scout Brownie meeting and move out to the community and wider world. Above all, Brownies grow together and learn about the world in a safe, loving environment.
Girl Scouts Juniors, Grades 4-5
Exploration, Fun and Best Friends Forever
Go on journeys and discover what girl power is all about through new activities and by learning to take charge of their own plans. Juniors learn to work as one and as a team gaining self-confidence as they explore the world in partnership with their troop/group leaders.
Girl Scouts Cadettes Grades 6-8
Making the World a Better Place
Girl Scout Cadettes participate in Girl Scouting in many ways. Under the guidance of a trained adult advisor, girls mix and match activities and resources to suit their needs while giving back to their communities. They connect with each other and build self-esteem and confidence in their skills as they work on a range of projects and gain life experiences
Seniors and Ambassadors, Grades 9-12

Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors participate in Girl Scouting in many ways. Under the guidance of a trained adult advisor, girls mix and match activities and resources to suit their needs while giving back to their communities.
