Drama - Theatrical Storytellers

Drama (LP & UP)

  • Faust drama workshops provide a fun-filled learning environment where those involved not only learn about theatre, but also develop greater self-confidence and an enhanced ability to work with others.
  • Each term, members study a different theatrical topic or skill in first quarter and proceed to work on an open session performance with costumes, props and set! Parents are sent a schedule outlining workshop content. We begin with learning and practicing skills such as improvisation, choreography, direction, audition skills as well as many other exciting elements of theatre and drama.
  • We then apply those skills through our open session performance, developing a performance for parents and guardians to watch on the last session at the school. Please see the link below for more information. Plays are selected after meeting the students so that the best script for the children is selected to suit their strengths and challenge them. Previous open session performances at HKIS include Wizard of Oz, Storybook Fame, Mother Goose is on the Loose, The Kid Who Would Be King, Hollywood Shakespeare and many more.
